What is Montessori?

Help me to do it by myself.

Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator spent many years applying her scientific observations to the method and practice of teaching.

Her innovative methods were based on the belief that children learn best when they are given freedom within a structured environment that nurtures their natural curiosity, independence, and love for learning. This child-centered approach is what we now know as “The Montessori Method”.

In contrast to traditional education, children are encouraged to explore their interests at their own pace. This nurtures curiosity and an intrinsic love for learning from an early age. As Maria Montessori said, “The greatest sign of success for a teacher… is to be able to say, ‘The children are now working as if I did not exist.'”

Our Montessori program is designed to help your child grow a lifelong curiosity for learning in an environment that is purposefully designed to meet their unique developmental needs.

Why families choose Montessori education

Student-led learning

Children choose activities based on their interests and work at their own pace, while teachers guide and support their progress

Cultivating empathy

When children understand that their feelings are valued, they begin to value the feelings of others, creating a cycle of care and empathy beyond the classroom

Freedom and independence

The classroom is designed to encourage exploration and responsibility so that children learn to think critically and solve problems on their own

Multi-age classrooms

Encourages peer collaboration and natural mentorship and inspiration amongst children
